What to have ready

Private sale or trade-in?

Selling privately almost always beats a trade-in on price. A dealer has to make a margin on the resale, and that margin comes out of what they offer you. The trade-off is effort: photographing the car, answering messages, and handling the transfer at an RTA centre or an approved service centre.

Drivaza takes the first part off you. The ad is free, it is checked before it appears so buyers take it seriously, and your number stays private until you decide to share it. What we do not do is pretend to be a garage — we do not inspect the car, and any buyer should still see it in person and check its history before money changes hands.

Questions

Is it really free to list a car?

Yes. There is no listing fee, no subscription, no featured-ad upsell and no commission on the sale. You keep the whole price you agree with the buyer. Drivaza makes its money from car rental, not from classifieds.

Will my phone number be published?

No. Your number is never shown on the site, and we strip any number or email address out of the description before the ad appears. A buyer sends an enquiry or an offer through the ad, and it arrives in your account — so you hear from people who are actually interested rather than from every dealer with an auto-dialler.

Where does my ad appear?

Your ad gets its own page on Drivaza that search engines can find, so buyers reach it directly rather than only by browsing. Your number is still never on it. When you mark the car sold we keep the page for about three months, clearly marked sold, so anyone who saved the link is not left on a dead end — or choose "remove" instead and it comes down at the next update.

How long does approval take?

Usually within one working day. Every ad is read by a person before it goes live, which is what keeps the listings worth browsing. You will see the status change in your account and we email you when it is live.

How many photos can I add?

Up to 12 per car. You can add or replace them at any time — editing a live ad simply puts it back in the review queue briefly.

Can I edit or take down my ad?

Any time, from your account. You can mark it sold, take it down, put it back, or delete it and its photos for good.

Do I need an account?

Yes, and it takes about twenty seconds. The account is where your ad, its photos, and the enquiries from buyers live — and it is how we keep your phone number off the public page.
