Selling a car in the UAE

Selling privately usually beats a trade-in — a dealer has to make a margin on the resale, and that margin comes out of your price. The trade-off is effort: photographing the car, fielding calls, and sorting out the transfer at an RTA centre or an approved service centre.

Drivaza takes the first part off you. Your ad is free, your phone number is never published, and we only pass your details on when a buyer is serious enough to ask. Post it from your account and we will check it, usually the same day.

Before you list: have the mulkiya (registration card) to hand, settle any outstanding fines or Salik, and clear any bank finance on the car — none of it can transfer with the vehicle. Good photos in daylight, taken from the three-quarter angle, do more for a private sale than anything else you can control.

Does it cost anything to sell my car on Drivaza?

No. Listing a car for sale on Drivaza is free. You post the ad from your account, we check it, and it goes live — there is no listing fee and no commission on the sale.

How do I contact the owner of a car?

Send an enquiry or an offer from the car's page. We pass your details to the owner and put the two of you in touch directly. Owners' phone numbers are never published on the site, which keeps them free of cold calls.

Are the cars checked?

Every ad is reviewed by a person at Drivaza before it appears, so the photos match the car and the details are plausible. We are not a garage, though: always inspect a used car and check its history before you buy.

How long does it take for my ad to go live?

Usually within one working day. You will see the status change in your account, and we email you as soon as it is live.
