No-Deposit Car Rental in Dubai

It means the rental company does not block a cash security deposit on your card at handover. Instead of holding AED 1,000–5,000, the partner either waives it for qualifying renters or replaces it with a small non-refundable Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) fee built into the daily rate, so nothing is frozen on your account.

Typically UAE residents with an Emirates ID and a local licence, drivers who add full CDW/Super-CDW cover, and returning customers with a clean record. Tourists can usually still get no-deposit terms on economy cars by taking the waiver package and paying with an international credit (not debit) card.

With no deposit held, your liability is capped by the CDW/insurance excess (often AED 1,000–3,000). If you added Super-CDW that excess can drop to zero, but uninsured items — Salik tolls, traffic fines, fuel and tyre/undercarriage damage — are still charged to your card afterwards.

Sometimes marginally. The waived deposit is offset by the CDW fee inside the rate, so the headline day price can be a few dirhams higher than a deposit-required booking. For short trips the convenience of no frozen funds usually outweighs the small difference.
